Day 3 and our Arrival at the Memorial in D.C.

So after a train ride and bypassing a Thunder storm
we started on our last day en-route to the
National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial
in Washington D.C.

We were just excited to get back out on the road to finish
this in remembrance of Ranger Anderson and
Trooper Radulescu.

Here is the Video from the Third day of our Ride:

And Thanks again to everyone that helped
support us before and during the ride!!

Day Two Pictures and Video

Sorry again it has taken me so long to get this up here,
But here are pictures and video from Day Two of the ride.

So at 7 in the morning all 250 of the Challenge riders
headed outside of the Hotel to start our trip to
Baltimore from Philadelphia.

And then we received the word that due to Thunder and Lightning storms rolling in that our Tour had been canceled for the day.......

So now the trouble is how do you get all these riders and all their bicycles and all their luggage over 100 miles to Baltimore......

Check out the video below to
see how we did it.

Video for Day One of the ride is up finally!

I appoligize it has taken this long to get this posted.
But now that we are back home in the great North West,
I have been able to work on the video and post up the rest of the days of our Tour.

Take a look...

Day one of the Challenge Ride

We started day one out bright and early.

But everyone had smiles on their face, for the most part!

We were ready to go!

We even had the State Patrol helo up overhead.

We even rode past Independence Hall.
It was an awesome bonus.

And we finished our ride in Phili!
It was a great and tough ride.

It was tougher than last years ride with Chapter 13.
The hills we rode over were leg killers.

But we made it into Phili and our last break at the Target about 10 miles from downtown.

When we were done, we were treated to a behind
the scenes look at the
Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.
This was an unexpected but nice treat to
finish the day!
And another reason I was not able to post this up yesterday night!

I am absent the video from the ride due to the program I use not working for me during the ride.  But I will post more up on here as time progresses.
Thanks for stopping by to see how we are doing!

Arrival in New Jersey

Well a few days ago we arrived in New Jersey.

It was an interesting ride to Somerset from Newark International Airport via a train, but we made it.

Tommie and Yo kept me company from behind all the luggage next to me on the way to Somerset.

The next morning we opened up out bike boxes and put our bikes back together.

Later that afternoon we met up with the Police Unity Tour team from Oregon state and made a day trip to
New York city.  But first at the train station we had a few bits from Dunkin' Donuts.

We Rode on the NY Subway in route to the World Trade Center memorial.

Tommie and I stood still for Jessica to take a picture
of us by the reflecting pool.

And here is my best shoot of the day as we looked up from the pool to the new tower of the World Trade Center.

Then it was a quick trip back to Somerset and to get ready for Day one of the Challenge Ride of the Police Unity Tour.
