Our first Training Ride

Today was the First official Training Ride as a Group.  We were missing two others due to work & Football game obligations.
But Dennis, Jessica, Yolanda & myself made a quick run on the Foothills Trail from Puyallup to South Prairie and back.
It was a good ride, and we are looking foward to more Team rides.  It was a cold ride at only 41 degrees, but since we are in Washington State, we will have no choice but to layer up
until the warm weather returns.

We Have our Team!

Team Pierce County has formed for the
2013 Police Unity Tour.
We have grown to Six members this year,
We still remain the only major group from the State of Washington that will be riding in the P.U.T.

We have Deputies from all corners of our Department;
South Hill Patrol, Court Security, Backgrounds,
and from inside the Jail.

This year we will ride to Honor two fallen Law Enforcement Officers that died in the line of duty in 2012,
Ranger Margaret Anderson from the National Park Service,
and
Trooper Tony Radulescu from the State Patrol.

When we ride into Washington D.C. on May 12th, we will be wearing memorial bracelets for these two,
and when we meet up with
Tony's and Maggie's family,
we will present them with these bracelets that we wore in honor of their family member during
our 300 mile ride.

This year we have chosen to ride in the Police Unity Tour with a different chapter from Southern California
They take a route that is a little bit more challenging with more hills, but will meet up with the rest of the
1400 bicycle riders at RFK Stadium on
May 12th to ride into the
National Law Enforcement Memorial.
We look forward to taking this route with these LOE's from L.A., San Diego, and around SoCal.
